We are delighted to be supporting Jack Sealey Ltd (Sealey) in the appointment of a new Managing Director.
Sealey is a very successful family-owned business, having grown to be one of the largest tool and equipment suppliers in the UK. Recognised as a leading brand by professionals and enthusiasts alike, they provide a continuously evolving and expanding range of c12,000 products to the automotive, agriculture, engineering, aviation and construction industries. Sealey operates through a network of local and national dealers within these sectors offering an unparalleled level of service. The business is sales and marketing driven but they understand the importance of supporting the product throughout its life cycle, demonstrated by the addition of their large Service Centre to ensure high levels of aftersales care are maintained and improved as they grow.
The company is now in its 44th year of trading, with annual turnover edging towards £100m having seen record growth last year. The business was originally established by John Sealey, with the name being a compound of the family surname with the piece of equipment through which he first found success: the trolley jack. Now with over 430 employees making up ‘Team Sealey’, they are one of the largest employers in the beautiful town of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Through continued investment in infrastructure and systems along with ambitious plans to increase the range, the aim is to grow the business further in order to secure their position as the number one supplier of tools and equipment in the UK and beyond.
